Kanaan Guest Farm — Hazyview
The covered venue at Kanaan seen across the lawn — a long open-sided roof under mango trees, with the Lowveld opening out beyond it.
Group Functions & School Groups

A whole farm, to yourselves.

School tours, church weekends, team gatherings and family reunions. Beds under roof, camping for 80 more, and a covered venue in the middle of it all.

Who comes here

Groups that need space, not a ballroom.

A working farm with room to spread out, a fence around all of it, and hosts who live on site.

The venue

Covered, open-sided, and looking down the valley.

The entertainment area seats 60 under roof with long tables, a bar counter and a games corner. It is open on the valley side, so the Lowveld is part of the room rather than something you look at through a window.

Bring your own caterer or let us cook — a continental breakfast for the morning and a South African braai for the evening, both on order.

Put a marquee on the lawn and it takes 100.

The covered entertainment area at Kanaan — long tables, chairs and an open view across the Lowveld valley.

Sleeping the group

Four price points, one property.

Mixed groups rarely have one budget. Put the leaders in a lodge room, the students in the dorm, and the rest under canvas — all inside the same fence.

Practical information

What organisers ask us first.

Is the property secure?
Fully fenced with a single motorised gate, and both owners live on site.
Can we have the whole farm?
Yes — exclusive use is possible. Tell us your numbers and dates and we will check.
Catering
We cook breakfast and a braai dinner on order, or bring your own caterer and use the kitchen.
What is there to do?
Hiking and mountain-biking trails from the gate, a pool, a waterfall and rock pool, pool table and foosball — plus Kruger and the Panorama Route.
Getting a bus in
The R40 runs to our gate and there is turning and parking space inside the fence.
The Kanaan venue from the other side — bar tables, picnic seating and a games area, all under the covered roof.
The pool table in the entertainment room at Kanaan — blue baize, cue and ball mid-game, with the foosball table and a wooden sideboard behind it.
The picnic gazebo at the viewpoint above Kanaan — a thatch roof, two picnic tables and the Lowveld valley opening out beyond.
The Kanaan Guest Farm signboard at the front gate — black ironwork, the Hazyview lettering, a flame tree in flower behind it.
